Bio: Hi, I am Ayla McMillen and I am 12 years old. I got into mountain biking because my dad started mountain biking with friends and one day in the fall of 2021 he took me on a ride and I fell in love with the sport. Now I am faster than him. I started racing cross country in the summer of 2021 with Gators Race Team and now race XC with Lost in the Woods. In 2023, I was the girls middle school NICA season champion. I’m also a GRIT (Girls Riding Together) ambassador, where our goal is to add more girls shredding on the mountain biking trails. This season I started to race enduro and it is a new favorite because flying downhill is fun and the uphills aren't timed! My favorite race was the Camp Tuscazoar Funduro. When the trails are closed, I like working on my bike, listening to music, visiting the mountain bike shop, and hanging with my friends. When it’s snowing you can sometimes catch me snowboarding at Snow Trails or convincing my dad to take me to Ray’s, the indoor bike park. Mountain biking is important to me because it is super fun to meet people on the trail and ride with friends. I am excited about being a Hills Before The Hustle ambassador because I can show this awesome brand to more mountain bike girls. Their gear has awesome designs and they support local mountain bike races, events, and trails. See you on the trail!
